Finding Your Color was a project I did during the first part of my junior year of high school. After placing out of the photography classes, I decided to undertake a project of my own to challenge myself. I ended up learning to paint with lights during long exposure and got creative. My intention with this project was to have each of my subjects express themselves through objects and colors, and having their faces and body covered in shadow. I wanted my subjects to portray themselves how they wanted to be perceived by others without judgement or knowledge of their background or how they dress. This project in itself started from an accident and experimentation with long exposure, and it is one of my proudest photo series.
